Fab Furniture Flippin Contest - June WINNER

It's the last Friday of June and that means we get to tell you who won the fabulous prize package from Old Fashioned Milk Paint...

What a fantastic month full of truly talented bloggers showing their skills off.  I had so much fun checking out everyone's transformations.  It was fun each time a new entry was added to the link up... I did a lot of ohhh and ahhh the whole month.

This month was sponsored by The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Company and the them was Shabby Chic Storage.. FUN FUN FUN.  The team at OFMP put together a very generous prize package that includes...

Six quarts of OFMP (your choice of colors)
one quart of Extra-Bond, one pint of Antique Crackle
one 5 oz. tin of Daddy Van's Clear Wax (in either Unscented, Lavender or Orange Oil)
one 2 oz. tin EACH of Daddy Van's Antique Brown & Shadow Black waxes

So before I give you the winner, I'd like to share some of my favorite entries..this is the hardest part of my job here folks.  I loved the entries for different reasons & all were so fantastic.

If you've followed along my journey here at Fern Avenue you know I love chippy, layered and a patina look... so this desk by Bre from Brepurposed stole my heart.  I love the Tavern Green she choose (not that I did something in this same color :)), but that white showing through and the chippy distress look gave this desk a satisfying makeover!

Refresh Living really grabbed my attention with the detail in the herringbone cabinet she did... It is such a beautiful statement piece that she created!

And, again using the OFMP and creating a gorgeous chippy patina storage by Sweet Tea Refinishing

Ok ok...I'm sure you are tired of hearing me talk about MY favorites and you want to see who won this wonderful contest.  It was tight ya'll...

and not an easy choice for sure and the race was neck & neck down to the wire....

drum roll...

Goes to Colleen of 58 Water Street... I love and have a fascination with jelly cupboards so by natural instinct 58 Water Street pulled my eyes in the direction of this fantastic piece...  And, knowing the story that this was painted 30 years ago by her dad with the same milk paint is a true testament to awesome-ness of the Old Fashioned Milk Paint.  Great story, great piece.  Congratulations to you Colleen!!
