Hi friends..

I am beyond excited about this post.  You see there are a few of us moms that love throwing a party.  Not just any party, this one is special.  It is an endeavor that we take very seriously, one to create such a memory that not only will the fathers walk away from saying "job well done" but one that our daughters will look back in years to come and cherish this one evening.

It is the annual Father/Daughter dance...  And, this years theme was -

An Enchanted Evening

Several of us moms gathered to come up with ideas.  We brainstormed as our eyes danced and minds swirled with visions of fairies, wisteria, party favors and more.

Cricut Explorer Air cutting machine used to make leather adjustable bracelet

I had a job and that job was to make 180 faux leather bracelets for our sweet belles.

I proudly took on the job knowing that I could complete this task using my Cricut Explore Air 2*.  I know what you are thinking... 180 is quite a few.  Yup but I will tell you this machine is a workhorse and kicked butt.

The very first thing I did was cut all of my faux leather.  Which was done using Cricut Strong Grip Mat*.  This allowed for the faux leather to remain in tact over multiple cuts.  I also used the Deep Cut Blade*.  I laid my faux leather with the leather side down.

I had previously made faux leather cuff bracelets & still had my bracelet template setup in my Design Space so the only the thing I needed to do was create what would be going on the bracelets to reflect the evening.

The design would be using Cricut Iron-On Vinyl.  Yes you can iron onto the faux leather.   The best thing I found to do was to keep the iron on a medium heat setting & lightly go over the iron-on to adhere it just enough for it not to move from its place.  And, then lay a pillowcase over to firmly adhere the vinyl.

The design we chose was fairy wings with the quote "Spread Your Wings & Let The Fairy In You Fly".  That meant there was a ton of cuts and lots of weeding to do.  Remember these are bracelets for little wrists..

I laid myself an assembly line out & went to work.

Once the bracelets were complete with their design, I used leather cording and a bead to create an adjustable bracelet.

All 180 set and ready for the wrist of a sweet little girl that one day will reflect back on this evening as enchanted!

The day had arrived and we were set to start preparations for the big evening.

The other moms & I showed up to the school on that Friday morning to finish assembly and decorations.  Chatter was heard in the hallways as little girls were growing excited about their plans for the night.

A night we could only hope that each girl & her special date would hold onto for a lifetime....

 Popcorn, Snow-cones and yummy goodies...

Throughout the night the girls left notes to their fathers on the fairy wings in the hallway.  It is one of my most favorite parts of the night.  I love seeing what the girls write to their fathers....

As the night wound down, and the girls were lead back through the wisteria lane, party favors waited for them.

Hopefully as a reminder of how special each one of them are..  So littles "Spread your wings & let the fairy in you fly"!

Even though this post was sponsored by my friends at Cricut, this was probably one of my absolute favorite projects.  And, it was made a much easier task by using my Cricut to make these amazing cuts.  Even the wooden tags were made by writing the Father & Daughter Dance 4.21.2017 and then circles cut on sticker paper.  Amazing!
